Santorini
Santorini Island is one of the most popular island of Cyclades, famous for its idyllic sunsets, unique beaches and beautiful landscapes.
Santorini (Thira) is an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km south east from mainland of Greece. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago which bears the same name and constitutes the remnant of a volcanic caldera. The municipality of Santorini comprises the inhabited islands of Santorini and Therasia as well as the uninhabited islands of Nea Kameni, Palaia Kameni, Aspronisi, and Christiana.
Santorini is essentially what remains after an enormous volcanic explosion that destroyed the earliest settlements on a formerly single larger island and created the current geological caldera. The principal port is called Athinios. The capital, Fira, clings to the top of the cliff looking down on the lagoon.

The sea around the island is deep blue and crystal clear. Most of the beaches are well organized, offering a choice of lounge chairs, umbrellas and various water sports.
